In the past I've used StarNet's X11 server for Windows, but I recently stumbled across Xming and have since switched to it.  It's free and performs well for my needs.

The xvid codec is delivered as XBLA from xbox live.  A box that has been jtagged shouldn't be connected to live (ovbiously) so if you don't already have the xvid codec, here's how to get it:
