Beetle Fuel Pump
June 4th, 2025Apparently the newer Beetle fuel pumps put out too much pressure and this can overwhelm the carb and force fuel into the system causing flooding and hard starts when warm. Additionally, for dual carb setups, older pumps may not put out enough fuel to handle them. Here is some information on electric or proper mechanical pumps.

Tesla Model S LDU (Large Drive Unit) Coolant Delete
May 27th, 2025The Tesla LDU (Large Drive Unit) used in certain Teslas, including my P90D has a flaw with the cooling system. There is a seal that will eventually fail with a 100% failure rate. When the seal fails, coolant leaks past the seal, washing grease out of the bearings and damaging the stator and eventually the inverter. Given there is no weep hole in the LDU, there is no external evidence that the seal has failed. Here are some links for more information:

May 27th, 2025I had this issue for many months. It appears that a driver for CSR Harmony Bluetooth is the culprit. The simple fix is:
Navigate to C:\Program Files\CSR\CSR Harmony Wireless Software Stack
and rename
BLEtokenCredentialProvider.dll
to
BLEtokenCredentialProvider.dll.bad
